What is a LabFlex Earmold ?
It is a custom Earmold that is made in a lab via an impression of the ear, the impression is sent to a lab and they make a cast or 3D imprint of the impression and produce a finished product from the cast using a heat cured silicone.
Laboratory made heat cured Earmolds are not new, this is how the hearing protection industry has been producing Earmolds for many years. What is new is that we at Earmold Australia make them ourselves in our own in-house Lab.
While other companies may take the impressions of your ear they then send them away to an actual manufacturer to finish them, then they have to be sent back when finished.
Well we don’t use any outside manufacturing we do it all in-house and this gives us greater control, greater options and faster turnaround times. With a full set of impressions of your ears then we can produce our custom LabFlex Earmold hearing protection for you, in house, on time and better priced.
Our Lab-Flex Earmold range is made using the finest Biopor heat cured medical grade soft silicone and is available in three different densities offering extra comfort and strengths.
40 shore for great all round comfort, strength and general use.
70 shore is a super strong material for making ear moulds with removable modules and speakers.
What is the advantage of our LabFlex Earmolds?
If you can’t get to us or one of our many providers to get our Insta-Mold® Earmolds made on the spot you now have the option to go to your local audiologist and have them make you up a set of full ear impressions using a soft impression material which you can then send direct to us. *extra cost of ear impression may apply.
You can then download the LabFlex order form, chose the style of plug required, colour combination and other options. You then can send them to us with the order form and we do the rest for you and post it back to you in 10 to 15 business days.
The Biopor soft silicone in a full shell Earmold has a SNR25 rating with 34.8db of protection at 4000hz giving you protection where needed and we can also customize the LabFlex Earmolds with filters to allow different levels of attenuation as required.
As we do the work on the softer impression material we can adjust them easily and we can also fit just about any form of electronics into the LabFlex Earmold during the setting process which gives the wearer greater comfort. Because we do all the work in house we offer a faster turnaround time and attention to detail to meet your needs.
Impressions of your ears are required by us to work from, this can be done via Earmold Australia, an authorised Providers or a trained Audiologist.

LabFlex Canal Tip from $115
LabFlex Earmold Canal Tip is the smallest Earmold we produce, as the name suggests it covers and seals the canal (the opening of the ear) giving you a very discrete private Earmold. This option is great for sleeping or work propose as it is not obtrusive and bulky and can be worn for long periods of time giving you greater comfort while sleeping.
Lab-Flex Full Shell from $120
LabFlex Earmold Full Shell are a full fit inside the ear giving you better hearing protection as more material is used while still giving a flat finish to the Earmold making it easier to fit and remove. A neck cord can also be added so you can hang the Earmolds around your neck when not being use.
LabFlex Full Shell moulded handle from $145
LabFlex Earmold Full Shell with moulded handle are a full fit Earmold the ear giving you better hearing protection as more material is used along with a fixed moulded handle to the Earmold making it easier to fit and remove. A fixed neck cord can also be added so you can hang the Earmolds around your neck when not being use.

LabFlex Earmold Full Shell Carved are a full fit slim Earmold made with a carved face to allow ease of use under a motorcycle helmet, swimming or sleep, these are made very flat so they do not protrude past the ear giving you greater comfort.

LabFlex Presenters Earmold is made as a skeleton style Earmold fitting comfortably into the canal with a small frame securing the Earmold into the ear itself, this gives extra strength to hold the clear acoustic sound tube in place.
